What minting keeps
When you mint a Couple in Bond result, the current contract receives the two entered names and the playful score. The transaction creates a blockchain record that your wallet and a block explorer can reference.
The result is a keepsake, not a test. It does not prove compatibility, measure a relationship, or predict what happens next. The value is in the shared moment and the story behind it.
Minting in three steps
Calculate
Enter two names on the Love Calculator and create a playful score.
Connect
Connect a browser wallet and switch to Ink Chain when the tool asks.
Approve
Review the names, score, network, and fee estimate before you confirm.
Why the current flow uses Ink
Ink is an Ethereum Layer 2 built with the OP Stack and connected to the Optimism Superchain. Its official documentation highlights EVM compatibility, fast blocks, and fees that are a fraction of Ethereum mainnet fees.
We use Ink for the current Couple in Bond mint because the existing contract and wallet flow already target Ink Chain. The calculator switches to the Ink network before it calls the mint function.
Where Base fits
Base is an Ethereum-connected Layer 2 built by Coinbase. Its public materials highlight low-cost transactions, fast inclusion, and links across chains and ecosystems.
Base is the wider expansion path we keep in view for reach and interoperability. The current Couple in Bond mint button uses the deployed Ink contract. Base minting needs its own compatible contract deployment before it can be offered.
Gas fees and wallet approval
Gas pays the network for processing the mint transaction. The amount can change with network demand and the fee model of the selected chain. Your wallet shows the estimate before you approve the transaction.
Check the network and fee before you confirm. If the amount is not expected, close the wallet request and do not approve it.
What you need before minting
- A browser wallet such as MetaMask.
- Ink Chain selected in the wallet.
- Enough ETH on the selected network for the network fee.
- The two names and score that you want to keep.
The calculator runs in your browser. Read the privacy page for more about browser-based tools, wallet actions, and blockchain interactions.
Keep the Moment questions
What does minting save?
Minting sends the two entered names and the playful score to the Couple in Bond contract on Ink Chain. It creates a blockchain record for the keepsake.
Is the NFT proof of compatibility?
No. The score and NFT are made for entertainment and reflection. They do not measure compatibility or predict a relationship.
Which chain does the current mint use?
The current Couple in Bond mint flow uses Ink Chain. The calculator switches the connected wallet to Ink before it sends the transaction.
Does Base minting work on this page?
Base is an Ethereum-connected expansion path for Couple in Bond. The current mint button uses the existing Ink Chain contract, not a Base deployment.
Will I pay a gas fee?
A network fee can apply when you mint. The amount changes with network conditions, and the wallet shows an estimate before you confirm.
